Description
Results from our initial scans of … do not make proper sense. Its atmosphere bears traces of pollution from primitive metalworking, yet our surface scans found evidence of sophisticated, space-worthy alloys. Aerial imagery shows settlements from a … society, yet their fortified buildings are fitted with surface-to-air laser weaponry. We recommend studying these inconsistencies further.

Description
The more we studied the apparently … … world of … the more inconsistencies we found, until we began subterranean surveys of an old battlefield. Depsite centuries of decay, we found evidence of alien visitation to this world: home to a genuinely … society which was cybernetically assimilated, but whose society was then left alone for reasons we can only speculate upon. Current theories range from a well-intended but botched attempt to uplift this society, through to a brutal practice of subjugation techniques.
Were these … simply forgotten about, or have we uncovered the remains of a discarded sociological experiment? We may never know, but the site is sure to yield considerable scientific merit for some time yet.
